Kindergarten
Our focus is on understanding that we are artists and the art room is our studio. Our media explorations, artist inspirations and skill builders act as an introduction to the artistic behaviors that we will develop more in grade one and two. The delivery of instruction is rooted in play as a natural spark to curiosity and inquiry!
(See the TAB page for more information on the artistic behaviors that are taught explicitly.)

First Grade
This is our first year that we work towards understanding the inquiry process and using it to help us solve our design challenges (See the Inquiry Process page for an in depth description of our inquiry process model.) We continue to develop artistic behaviors that allow us to make independent choices as artists in our shared studio space.

Second Grade
Our focus is on developing our ideas as artists and communicating through our art. We dig deeper into collaborative art, and reflecting and speaking fluently about our art process and products. Our inquiry process becomes part of our daily independent art making as we develop as artists and know more clearly what we are passionate about communicating in our art!
